This
slipway is something of a historical landmark in the Redlands.
It has been operating as a slipway since 1949. It has only
seen four owners during all those years.
Keith and Ann Davis are the current
owners/operators of the yard and are responsible for the
designing and building of the cradles used to slip the wide
variety of boats that use these facilities.
The yard is a friendly, comfortable environment
which employs several full time boat builders. Most of the
specialist trades such as engineering, sign writing etc are
available by subcontractors who are employed on demand.
We prefer fit out work and timber work but are
equally proficient in fibreglass work. Maintenance work such
as antifouling, topside repaints, polishing etc are areas we
excel in. We do allow owners to do their own work but we are
unable to accommodate boats for periods longer than 2-3 weeks.
We do not allow owners to spray paint or sand blast their
boats and all sanders must be able to capture their dust.
Our store carries Altex Antifouling and paint
(other brands are available on order), fastening, timber,
anodes, and most of the other items required to maintain your
boat. We also lay and service permanent moorings in the
southern area of the bay.
